The tour is designed for visitors to Sri Lanka who would like to experience the best in a short time. The tour takes one through ancient cities, the Hill Country, and Sri Lanka’s beaches. Every day is different on the tour, from rock fortresses and wildlife to tea-covered hills and beaches. The tour is laid back and focuses on the most popular spots in Sri Lanka.

Day 01 Arrival and Negombo

Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be greeted warmly and taken to Negombo. This journey is more like an orientation exercise, as it helps to adjust to the local time after the flight. For the rest of the day, the choice lies between relaxing at the beach or the hotel pool.

Day 02 Negombo to Sigiriya

After breakfast, head towards Sigiriya via the countryside. In the way, a halt is given at the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO-listed site famous for its murals and peaceful setting. After checking into Sigiriya, the rest of the day can be spent on free time, or a rural experience can be opted for, offering a glimpse of the region’s culture.

Day 03 Sigiriya and Minneriya

Begin early with the climb of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, often called the Lion Rock. Explore the ancient gardens, frescoes, and panoramic views from the summit. In the afternoon, visit Minneriya National Park for a guided jeep safari, where herds of wild elephants are often seen gathering near the reservoir.

Day 04 Sigiriya to Kandy

Proceed to Kandy with a stop at Matale Spice Gardens. It is at this stop that you learn more about the Sri Lankan spices and their uses in Ayurvedic medicine. Also, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, which is an important religious site for the people of Sri Lanka. Your evening will be rounded off with a cultural performance featuring local tunes and beats.

Day 05 Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

A scenic drive leads into the hill country of Nuwara Eliya. Along the way, visit a tea plantation and factory to understand the journey of Ceylon tea from leaf to cup. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxed stroll around Gregory Lake and explore the colonial character of the town, surrounded by cool air and misty hills.

Day 06 Nuwara Eliya to Bentota

Leave the hill country towards the southern coast via Kithulgala. For the adventurous, an optional white-water rafting experience is available. Proceed to Bentota and spend the rest of the day relaxing on the golden beaches or enjoying water sports. A beachside sunset is a serenity-ending day.

Day 07 Colombo and Departure

Breakfast, then proceed to Colombo for a short city tour. Attractions may include Galle Face Green, Independence Square, and shopping places. After the city tour, proceed to Bandaranaike International Airport for departure. Thus, the end of an interesting tour in Sri Lanka.
